EMPOWER FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Balance & Buns:  (Monday 8:45am-9:15am)   The focus of this balance class is on toning and strengthening the muscles of the buns (glutes) and thighs to improve balance.     

Instructor:  Joan Brame                Members=FREE          Non-Members=$35

 


Ballroom Dance Solo:  (Friday 11:30am-12:00pm)  You don’t need a partner to ballroom dance in this class!  A great cardio workout for all levels as we waltz, foxtrot, salsa, swing, merengue and more.  Come join the dance party!

Boogie Boarding:  (Thursday 11:30am-12:00pm)   Ride the waves on dry land and have a fun cardio workout!  Low to moderate level. (No class on 5/9)

Breathe & Stretch:  (Monday 2:00pm-2:30pm)   Make stretching your muscles a priority in this class which incorporates deep breathing for relaxation.

Cardio Sculpt:  (Wednesday 5:00pm-5:30pm)   Get your heart rate going with cardio bursts and strengthen, sculpt and tone.

Cardio Step:  (Monday 7:30pm-8:15pm)   This moderate intensity workout combines aerobic movements with the use of a step.  Fast paced and fun!

Chair Cardio :   (Wednesday 9:30am-10:00am)  Get your heart rate up and burn some calories all while seated to reduce stress onleg joints.  Come join the fun!

Group Personal Training:   Get the benefits of personalized attention at a substantially reduced cost.  Get out of your comfort zone with this full body conditioning program, designed at beginner to intermediate level.  Class size is limited.

Muscle Mambo:  (Thursday 4:15pm-4:45pm,  no class 4/25)   The first portion of this class focuses on standing core strength exercise with weights, and the second portion we will shake things up with some Latin dance moves.

Pilates Mat:  (Wednesday 6:45pm-7:45pm)   Learn core-strengthening moves based on the Pilates method.  Core strengthening is wonderful for tighteningabs and reducing lower back  tension.   Appropriate for all levels.

Resistance Training: Replace fat with lean muscle tissue, become stronger, keep your joints moving smoothly and improve posture all thru resistance.

Sunrise Yoga:  (Friday 7:00am-8:00am, no class on 5/3, make-up on 5/31)   

Start your day with this inspiring mind/body workout.  Flowing, classic yoga poses, breath work and an active meditation will leave you ready to spring into your day!  All levels welcome.

Sunset Yoga:  (Tuesday 7:00pm-7:30pm, no class on 5/7)   Sunset Yoga is a moving meditation to release you from the stresses and frustrations of your day.  Gentle movements and a brief meditation in a warm, comfortable, softly lit room will prepare you for a deep relaxing sleep.

Tai Chi:  (Thursday 10:00am-11:00am)  An “internal” martial art for all ages to develop internal energy and balance.

Wake & Shake:  (Tuesday 7:45am-8:15am)  A fun cardio workout to wake you up!  Weights for strength training, step work for cardio and mat work for the core.

Zumba:  Latin inspired routines combine both fast and slow rhythm that burns mega calories, tones and sculpts the body all while having fun!!

Instructor: Stephanie Crosby   (Thursday 5:30pm-6:30pm)



Zumba Gold:  (Tuesday 9:30am-10:15am)  This specialty Zumba class is at an intensity level somewhat lower than the standard Zumba class.  Come and join the Latin dance cardio party.
